The Scientific Seminar on Organic Food - Open, Critical and Collaborative Approaches, will be held in Mikkeli, Finland, from 1 to 2 November 2012. It is directed to researchers, students and professionals interested in food research including multidisciplinary areas such as life-sciences and socio-economic sciences, according to the University of Helsinki.
The aims of the seminar are to reveal recent organic food research in Europe and to introduce up-to-date research topics and methodologies to the participants. Important focuses are the quality of food in Europe and the socio-economic aspects of organic food consumption and production. The seminar is organised by the University of Helsinki, Ruralia Institute, MTT Agrifood Research Finland, and Aalto University, School of Economics, Business Center. A brochure is available here.
