The 9th Natural Products Expo Asia will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25 to 27 August 2011, hosting an exhibition area of 6,000 square meters to encompass the finest natural and organic products sourced from around the world, including food & beverage, dietary supplement, natural and raw ingredients, cosmetics and skin care products, spa facilities and supplies, and more. About 9,000 visitors are expected.
Apart from the most popular food & beverage and dietary supplement featured sectors, the show presents visitors with a sourcing ground for the world’s best products: National Pavilions with an abundant supply of skin care and personal care products from Australia and New Zealand, healthy foods, super foods, snacks, and beverages from the USA, spa utilities and products from Thailand, tea and Traditional Chinese Medicine from China, farm-fresh produce from local farmers, supplements from the UK, Ayurveda products from India, golden oyster mushroom (Tamogitake) from Japan, and more.
Spotlight is shone on Asian markets, with the hotel and spa industry experiencing promising growths, having the largest number of hotels and spas under development of any region worldwide. 77 % of the 2011 Asian hotel expansion is earmarked for the world’s fastest-growing economies: China and India. 1,248 hotel projectsare slated for China, representing 35 % of the world’s total hotel projects. India boasts the 2nd-fastest-growing Asian pipeline, with 450-plus projects. Andrew Jacka, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) and President of Thai Spa Association commented: “The Asia Pacific spa market has shown rapid growth in recent years, often exceeding 20 % annually, as the middle class expands and society as a whole recognizes the importance of preventative healthcare. The show also presents visitors with events held from 24 to 25 August 2011.
